Well, a few bad apples are messing this whole thing up. I do pre-moderate any comments now.

I will delete comments if…

it’s abusive.
it’s off-topic.
it’s spam.
it offers no “value”. (Comments like: “great post, thanks for sharing…” )

Name Field

The “Name” comment field should also contain your name (use just for first name if you want to remain somewhat anonymous) — not the name of a keyword phrase you want to rank for.

In that case I’ll either edit the comment and change the “name” … or delete the comment altogether.

Automatic SPAM Filtering

All comments are automatically filtered through spam filtering software. I currently use Akismet.

It’s not perfect. As such, from time to time it flags legitimate comments and emails as spam (false positives).

If you find that your comment doesn’t immediately show up, it may have been flagged as spam. Just relax. You don’t have to do anything. I check all comments held in moderation.

However, if you comment still hasn’t shown up after 24 hours, please feel free to contact me.
